Anyway, the gigabyte allotment was way more than I expected, and certainly enough to give you a taste of what the service is capable of. CamCloudRecorder by the Numbers
The free trial at CamCloudRecorder.com is generous enough that I had high hopes as I made my way to the upgrade page to check out the real prices. Turns out, yeah, they really hook members up. The basic plan is thirty bucks a month, just like you pay for most paysites including my own PornDudeCasting. That’ll let you record up to 10 streamers and fill up two whole terabytes of content.
The bottlenecks are kind of obvious here. I think that basic $30 plan is going to be enough for most webcam enthusiasts, but you might reach your limits if you have a ton of favorite models or you’re just following chicks who are really active. You can always delete videos to save space or unfollow streamers, but there are some other options for the mega fans.
The $50 monthly Plus plan multiplies your limits, bumping you up to 5 terabytes and 30 streamers. If that still ain’t enough, CamCloudRecorder has an $80 Professional plan that gets you 10 TB and capacity for a hundred streamers. They also offer boosters for either streamers or storage space, so I recommend considering your needs before just springing for one of the pricier plans.
The recordings of Cam Cloud Recorder can vary in size quite a bit, depending on the original platform and the resolution the gals are streaming in. My personal stash right now holds about 90 video samples of 20 different models, totaling about 130 gigs, a fraction of my allotment. Some are five-minute shows coming in at a couple hundred megabytes, while some of the longer shows might take up a gig or more. One of my BongaCams girls just did an 80-minute show in a super-crisp resolution, and it’s over three gigs!
CamCloudRecorder.com members can download all of their recordings. I feel like that largely eliminates the storage space bottleneck, though I totally understand the convenience angle of having all your recordings available from any device. In any case, it all adds up to one hell of a value.
Following Your Favorite Camgirls, The Easy Way
Cam Cloud Recorder requires basically no effort on your part to record all your favorite camwhores. As an experiment, I pasted links from all the currently supported webcam platforms into the “Add New Streamer” interface. Without fail, they were each added to my lineup in an instant. All of them are recording right now as I type this up.
The whole interface is sleek, streamlined and simple to use. You can sort your list of steamers/videos by date or webcam platform, and I like how they tell you how much space each gal has taken up so far. Your storage total is up at the top of the Recordings page, and I’m still blown the fuck away by how little I’ve used so far. I still have a while before I’ll have to start trimming my stash, unless I start adding a lot more models.
My only minor complaint is the same one I often have among the free webcam tubes out there: there’s no tagging with the usual keywords we always use to sift through our porno collections on almost any other site. It might be kind of difficult to integrate a full tagging system due to the multiple sources CamCloudRecorder draws from, but user tags could go a long way in helping members organize their growing collections of webcam smut. I’m writing this review on a Monday morning, and the models I’m following with Cam Cloud Recorder have already put on dozens of shows today. Naturally, they’ve been recorded and now appear under my Recordings.
