Have you ever been interested in French cinema or basically anything French? I don't know about you, but I like to stick to American and English actors and actresses, but that's just me. However, if we're talking about something more than just active, I don't mind giving French chicks a shot. I mean, have you ever seen a French pornstar Anissa Kate in action? Apparently, Catherine Deneuve is considered to be one of the best French actresses, but I'm just hearing about her for the first time. She was born on the 22nd of October 1943, which was a long fucking time ago. I guess that explains why I don't know shit about her. She's 80 fucking years old, but she wasn't when she started!
Anyway, she was born in Paris, and her parents were stage actors at the time. I guess she had a predisposition to become an actress since she was probably looking up to her parents. I have a feeling her parents didn't have an idea how good of an actress their daughter was going to become, so it must have come as a surprise.
Made her debut in 1957
Catherine made her film debut in a comedy-drama named Les Collegiennes back in 1957. That translates to The Twilight Girls, so it might mean something to you. Anyway, she had just a small role, which was kind of expected since it was her first time in front of the camera.
The funny thing about her first role is that she actually had the chance to make a movie with her younger sister, Sylvie. I doubt many people can say that they had the chance to be in the movie with their siblings.
After that first role, Catherine started getting other parts, and those parts slowly started getting bigger and bigger, especially when Catherine's acting caught the eye of Jacques Demy. By the way, that was a French director, so you can kind of see where this is going.
Thanks to that director, Catherine got the role in a film musical, The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, which made her pretty famous. I don't want to say that that was the time when she reached her all-time high, but it was the time when people started noticing her.
Everything after that point was going smoothly, and that made it easier for Catherine to get more and more main roles. I mean, there's a reason why she got nominated for some awards 14 fucking times. Some people are lucky if they get nominated once or twice, but this hottie managed to do that a dozen or more times. Good for her!
The 1960s were the years when Catherine started making something out of herself, but the 70s and the 80s were the periods when she was already an established actress who was famous all around the world. Even though most of her movies are French, she had the chance to play a role in an Italian drama named Liza. She got this chance after becoming successful. I doubt that would have happened in the beginning.
Since I started talking about foreign production, I should probably tell you about American-UK production as well. She had the chance to be in the movie called The Hunger. This was back in 1983, so you might not have heard about it.
Now, the interesting thing about this movie is that it's actually an erotic horror film. This is when things start getting interesting. After all, you are reading all this on The Porn Dude, so I would be a dick if I didn't tell you about the time when she showed a bit of her skin.
In this movie, she had the chance to play the role of a bisexual vampire. Now, that's a twist I didn't expect. We know Catherine Deneuve by this name, but her full French name is Catherine Fabienne Dorleac. I don't know why people decide to change their names, but in this case, I might just guess. It's easier for people to remember something like Catherine Deneuve rather than remembering a French name.
Anyway, Catherine wasn't just an actress. She used to be a model for a moment. She actually appeared in two nude scenes for Playboy. This was back in 1963 and 1965, so you can only imagine how good she looked. Heck, you don't even have to imagine it because you can check it out on the Internet. It might be a bit harder to find Playboy magazines from back then, but I'm sure you'll manage.
Besides modeling, she also decided to see what it would be like to design some dresses. Actually, she did one heck of a job doing that as well.
